I am so excited! Today is full of newness! First of all, the facelift this blog has received. My original plan was to be able to relaunch it today, but I ended up relaunching it two days ago. It’s something that’s been in the back of my mind to do for a few months now, but in early May I really started thinking about it more seriously, and set myself a goal to get it done. I still have some work to do in terms of my new logo and a few other tweaks I want to make, but I was able to get everything done that I wanted done before reintroducing it to all of you!
Also, I’ve been counting down the days to dive into my new planner! I used to be an Erin Condren girl. I LOVED the vertical layout. It was the first planner I had ever gotten and stuck with for any length of time–about 2-1/2 years! Unfortunately, I have so many different irons in the fire, so to speak, that I outgrew the three-section limitation that it had. (I still LOVE LOVE LOVE the look of their planners, though!)
After I realized I wasn’t utilizing my EC planner much, I discovered bullet journaling. You can learn all about the basic premise from the original guy who created it here, but if you google “bullet journaling,” you will see that it has also taken off as an artsy, creative, DIY outlet for a lot of people. I was really drawn to the simplistic nature of the idea behind bullet journaling, but alas, it doesn’t work for me as a planner. It totally works for me as a catch-all for everything that doesn’t go in my planner, though. I’ll write another post on another day about what all I do use my bullet journal for.
But for now, I can’t wait to share with you my new planner! I got this one from Plum Paper on the advice of a friend who had just switched to it from another planner.
I still had the choice of a the vertical layout. Horizontal layouts have never worked out for me, so this was definitely a MUST! But instead of three sections per day, I had the option of having seven. So much better for planning my hectic life!
In addition to the standard yearly calendar pages for 2018 and 2019, there are a few pages for additional planning before the monthly and weekly pages.
One of my favorite things about switching to this planner is that I got to choose the beginning and ending months. Since my “year” typically begins in August because of how I schedule our homeschool, I was able to say I wanted this planner to cover June 2018 through July 2019. You also get to customize the Plum Paper in a variety of ways. Besides choosing from a few different vertical and horizontal layouts, you can also choose to have neutral or colored pages throughout. I chose neutral because I like to spruce up my planners with stickers and different colored pens. (I kind of have a pen obsession! More about that in another post!)
You can also add sections to the back of your planner, such as Meal Planning, Budget Planning, and Blog Planning. They even have Direct Sales and Homeschool sections you can add on! If you don’t want to add an entire section to the back, you can also choose individual pages and add them to the end of your months. The only one I chose at this time is the My Bills page, so as each bill comes in I can add it to the list so I don’t overlook anything. I’m sure in the future as I get to know this planner better, I’ll choose more to add on.
I am absolutely thrilled with my new planner and the work I’ve accomplished on the new blog thus far! I can’t wait to start getting into sharing my new topics with you!

Thank you so much!
Nice planner! A great planner is a must-have in blogging!
My planner is like my main brain. I’m so lost without something that works. I’m constantly morphing what that is, but for now, this is it!
I had to start using a planner at the beginning of this year and I did a lot of research to find the right one that I felt like would meet my needs. After my research I decided to purchase a plum paper planner and I absolutely love it. I love all the customizable options they offer. I probably wonโt try any other planners now and I am getting excited about ordering my 2019 planner. I never thought I would be excited about ordering a planner.
I love mine! I love that I was able to choose my months. I like to plan my year August through July, since that’s our “school year.” I need to start using the budget pages that I added, though.
